Regimental Medical Officer
     Captain William Henry Collins. D.S.O
Captain William Collins  was the Regimental Medical Officer of the 37th Battalion, and won the Distinguished Service Order (DSO) in October 1917, at the Battle of Passchendaele. His Grandson Bill Collins has a wonderful website, with alot of information and photographs about his Grandfather. Please pay his site a visit
to find out more

Amongst Captain Collins many talents was photography. The photos he took throughout the war offer us  view of the war through the eyes of someone that was there. His photos capture the spirit of the men in the 37th more than  words ever could. His Grandson Bill has very kindly given me acces to his collection, some appear below and others are on Bill's site listed above.
